We are looking for a UX Research to join our team with +6 years of experience! The project is within the Law & Insurance industry and is based in Rolling Meadows, IL. It´s one of the largest insurance, risk management and consulting firms with over 35,000 employees globally. It provides retail and wholesale property and casualty brokerage, alternative risk transfer services, employee benefit consulting, and actuarial services. Also, offers claims and information management, risk control consulting and appraisal services, human resource consulting, and retirement services.

About The Role

The UX and Marketing Research Analyst will design research that assists in creating dynamic digital experiences and answering stakeholders’ business questions. The team is in the midst of digital transformation, unifying regions and websites with tools such as seoClarity and Ion Interactive to create dynamic digital experiences. Collectively, the team has introduced best practices and tools to the organization. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Digital Marketing and Digital Experience team.

  • We are seeking a UX and Marketing Research Analyst with deep experience and a proven track record in both UX Research and traditional Marketing Research.
  • This position has an integral role in partnering with the digital team, the design team, and various divisions that include key stakeholders and internal clients.
  • You must be self-motivated to learn about the insurance industry, risk management, benefits, consulting and applying appropriate research methodologies to answer key stakeholder questions.

Responsibilities

  • Business to business research: partner with internal clients, from management to Executives, to recommend, design, and implement UX or marketing research, and then analyze the findings using qualitative and/or quantitative approaches such as online surveys, focus groups, and deep dive interviews.
  • Apply basic principles of marketing and UX research to the design and presentation of people and journey maps.
  • Demonstrate expertise with usertesting.com, Qualtrics, Ascribe/other coding software and other research tools as applicable, and staying apprised of best in class tools and vendor services
  • Serve as a trusted resource to internal clients across divisions and the larger digital team for research and research to answer basic business questions.
  • Successfully access, implement, and manage research vendors, including RFP, project budget management, research design, and research findings on behalf of internal clients, with regard to cost, project objectives, client expectations, and research findings.
  • Become familiar with the basics of the insurance industry, including risk management, alternative risk, excess and surplus insurance, and benefits and consulting, utilizing internal and external resources.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, managing, and analyzing traditional marketing research and UX research from intake thru insights, including stakeholder objectives, research approach/design, field management, analysis and reporting, and presentation of results.
  • Emphasis on experience researching digital user experience for public-facing websites.
  • Strong emphasis on writing and communication skills for analyzing and presenting key research insights to a variety of internal audiences.
  • Proven numeric/data literacy with tools such as Google Analytics and Qualtrics.
  • Poised/experienced presenting proposals and finalized research results in person or via conference calls to a variety of stakeholder audiences.
  • Demonstrated basic to expertise use of tools such as usertesting.com, Qualtrics, Ascribe/or other coding software, Hotjar, Mouseflow, etc. – or ability to get quickly up to speed.
  • Flexibility to meet with global stakeholders in different regions and time zones, as required on a project by project basis.

Background

  • 6+ years hands-on experience in traditional marketing research and UX research.
  • Consistent amount of time/ at least 3+ years with any one employer in a research role.
  • Deep understanding of the life of a research project, from start to finish.
  • Proven track record with a variety of quantitative and qualitative approaches: hands-on design, implementation, management, fielding, analysis, and presentation.
  • Experience with UX research on global brands for digital properties (websites).
  • Excellent communication skills to relay advanced research concepts and findings to a variety of non-research audiences.
  • Comfort with and proven data literacy.
  • Experience in developing personas and customer journey maps.
  • Hands-on experience in participant recruiting/screener creation, research design, sample design, field management, debriefing, facilitation, analysis of both qualitative and quantitative results, verbal and written presentations.
  • Experience managing and sourcing vendors and research tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Research, Business Administration, Marketing, Sociology, Information Science, or related field.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with an Agile environment.
  • Previous experience with B2B research.
